The Bestard Milano is a versatile nubuck leather shoe from the Spanish bootmaker's Travel range, cut low for everyday comfort rather than technical mountain use. The upper combines vintage nubuck leather with Cordura and synthetic rubber trim, while a Gore-Tex Most Breathable lining keeps feet dry without trapping heat, useful on a hillwalk that turns from sun to showers within the hour. An extended lacing system opens the shoe right down for an easy, adjustable fit across different foot shapes, and it's built on Bestard's Trail Tech 10 last, designed for everyday wear rather than mountaineering. Underfoot, a Vibram Omnific rubber outsole grips equally well on trail and pavement, cushioned by an EVA-based Bestflex 1 midsole that keeps the shoe light and flexible at 820g a pair. It's the kind of shoe that suits a day pottering around the estate or town as readily as an easy hike through hills or forest, and its classic, understated styling means it looks equally at home travelling as it does walking the dog.
