The Bestard Soul is a lightweight, waterproof hiking boot from the Trekking Junior line of Spanish bootmaker Bestard, based in Lloseta, Mallorca, and built for young walkers taking their first steps onto the hill or trail. A Gore-Tex lining keeps feet dry in wet ground and showers, while the upper combines water-repellent suede leather with Cordura and synthetic rubber for a boot that shrugs off scuffs and mud without feeling stiff. The Bestflex 1 midsole is built to be super flexible, moving with a child's foot rather than fighting it, and the quick-lace system means the boot can be tightened and loosened in seconds — handy when small hands are doing the job.
