The BIG CHEESE Mole Claw Trap is a traditional catch-and-kill scissor trap for controlling moles in lawns, gardens and paddocks. It uses the classic claw-trap design, with an 'O' ring holding a pair of sprung jaws open at the foot of the mole's main run; when the mole pushes through, a stainless steel spring closes the jaws for a fast, humane kill. The whole trap is made from galvanised metal, so it stays rust-free and keeps working through a full season of wet ground and hard frosts, and it's reusable trap after trap rather than a single-use item. Once sprung, the trap's handles stand proud of the ground, giving a quick visual check on a run without having to dig it out — useful over a large lawn or several affected beds. For best results, set into the mole's main runs rather than side tunnels, and use more than one trap where activity is heavy or a garden is a larger or awkward shape. UK law requires mole traps to be checked at least once a day, so build that into a daily routine once one is set.
