The Big Cheese Medium Live Animal Trap is a welfare-friendly cage trap built for catching mink, cats and other similarly sized nuisance animals around gardens, farms and other wildlife habitats. Measuring 60 x 19 x 19cm and weighing around 1.6kg, it arrives fully assembled and ready to bait and set, for use indoors or out. A positive spring-loaded trigger action closes the trap quickly and securely once the catch takes the bait, and a protective hand plate lets you handle and move the cage safely afterwards. The galvanised mesh body has external joints and a machine-finished edge, so there is nothing inside the cage to injure a trapped animal. Once set, the manufacturer recommends leaving the trap in position for at least seven days before relocating it, to give it the best chance of success. As with any live-catch trap, check it regularly — at least once every 24 hours — and release any catch, target or otherwise, promptly and unharmed, in line with standard UK trapping welfare practice.
