A Bisley .30 calibre phosphor bronze bore brush for cleaning rifle barrels. The wound phosphor-bronze bristles are stiff enough to scrub out the carbon and copper fouling that builds up in a .30-class bore (.308 Winchester, .30-06, 7.62mm and similar), yet soft enough to lift deposits without scoring the rifling. Run on a patch-soaked or solvent-wet barrel as part of your normal cleaning routine, the brush works the bore from breech to muzzle to shift the stubborn residue that a patch alone leaves behind. The brush head has a threaded screw-in end cut to the British pattern, so it fits Bisley cleaning rods and most other British-pattern rods such as Parker Hale. It is a straightforward consumable that wears with use, so it is worth keeping a spare in your stalking or range cleaning kit. For deer stalkers and target shooters running a .30 rifle, regular brushing keeps the bore consistent and protects accuracy over a long season. Simply screw it onto your rod, brush through, then follow with clean patches.
