This is the Ox Red Mainspring No.4, a replacement spring-piston mainspring distributed in the UK by Bisley. Ox springs are cold-coiled from Swedish square-section spring steel and are widely regarded as one of the strongest replacement mainsprings on the market, making them a sound choice when a tired factory spring has cost your air rifle its zip and consistency. The No.4 is the fitment code for the Weihrauch HW35 and the Diana/Original RWS 52 and RWS 48, so check your model against that list before ordering. Fitting a fresh Ox spring can raise output, and the original manufacturer note warns it may take the rifle over the 12 ft/lb legal limit, so this is not a casual swap. You will need a proper spring compressor and a degree of experience to strip and reassemble the action safely, and the work is best left to a competent gunsmith. Always recheck muzzle energy over a chronograph afterwards to confirm the rifle remains sub-12 ft/lb and legal to hold without a firearms certificate.
