The Bisley SD22 is a sound moderator for .22 rimfire rifles, supplied complete with a barrel adaptor that fits H&K and Colt M4 pattern .22 firearms. Developed by Walther and distributed in the UK by Bisley, it is a dry silencer that cuts the sharp muzzle report of a .22 rimfire, making it easier on the ears during practice, vermin control and informal shooting. The included adaptor threads onto the host barrel so the moderator can be fitted and removed quickly, and it is compatible with all H&K and Colt M4 models in the .22 rimfire range. At around 205 grams it adds little weight, so it does not unduly upset the handling of a light rimfire. Manufacturer figures quote noise attenuation in excess of 20 dB. As with any rifle sound moderator in the UK, the SD22 is subject to the conditions on your Firearms Certificate, so check that your moderator is covered before ordering.
