The Bisley Titan XS Mainspring No.1 is a replacement mainspring for spring-piston (break-barrel and underlever) air rifles, part of the long-running Titan XS range of uprated UK-made air-rifle springs. The "No.1" is the Titan application number that tells you which rifles the spring suits: it is listed to fit the BSA Airsporter, Mercury, Challenger, 635 Magnum, Superstar, Lightning, XL, Supersport, Goldstar and Centenary, along with the Air Arms Firepower, Jackal and Woodsman and several Original models. Fitting a fresh Titan spring is the usual way to bring a tired air rifle back to consistent power and a smoother firing cycle after the factory spring has weakened or taken a set. Always match your rifle to the Titan application chart before ordering, as the same model name can span several spring sizes. Removing and refitting an air-rifle mainspring should only be done with a proper spring compressor; the spring is held under heavy preload, so if you are not confident, hand the job to a competent airgun gunsmith.
