The Bisley Magnum is a heavy domed lead pellet for the .177 (4.5mm) air rifle shooter who wants to reach out beyond close range. At 10.65 grains it is well above the usual .177 weight, so it carries more momentum down the barrel, drifts less in a crosswind and keeps energy on target at longer distances than a lighter pellet would manage. The rounded domed head is the classic all-round profile for field target work and hunting, balancing a clean flight with retained penetration. A special lead alloy and a light greasing cut down on barrel fouling and help the pellet group consistently shot after shot, so you spend less time chasing flyers and more on a tight cluster. This 4.50mm head size is the tightest of the bore options Bisley offers in the Magnum .177, suiting barrels on the smaller side of tolerance, and it is worth trying the 4.50, 4.51 and 4.52 sizes to see which your rifle prefers. The Magnum suits both sub-12ft/lb air rifles and FAC-rated guns running springers, CO2 or pre-charged pneumatics. Supplied in a tin of 500.
