Britannia Rails' Gunmakers Extended Length Picatinny Rail, Radius Bottom is a blank, un-drilled length of true mil-spec Picatinny rail for gunsmiths to fit where no off-the-shelf rail exists. Supplied as raw stock rather than a bolt-on unit — 189mm long and 13mm high, CNC-machined in the UK from aircraft-grade aluminium and finished in hard-anodised black — it's drilled and fitted to the exact dimensions of the rifle by your gunsmith. The radius, or curved, underside is machined to sit on round-topped actions, fitting most rifles with a barrel or receiver diameter of around 1 1/3 inches, where a flat-bottomed rail would rock or sit proud. Once fitted it takes any standard Picatinny rings, bases or night-vision and thermal add-ons, making it a practical way to get proper scope mounting on older, imported or unusual round-actioned rifles that off-the-shelf mounts don't cover. As with all Britannia's blank gunmaker rails, this is supplied undrilled and is a job for a qualified gunsmith rather than a home fit — talk to BushWear about fitment before ordering.
