This Britannia Rails Picatinny base is machined to fit the Sako Quad and Finnfire 2 rimfire rifles, converting the factory 11mm dovetail into a true MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. Rather than bolting through the action, it slides onto the existing dovetail and is drawn up tight by six grub screws, giving a firm, secure lock without any drilling or permanent modification to the rifle. Once fitted, the rail accepts standard Picatinny and Weaver-compatible rings, red dot sights and thermal or night-vision mounts. It carries a 0 MOA profile, so it sits flat rather than adding elevation — suited to general stalking and target use. Machined in Great Britain from T6 aluminium to a 149mm length, it is finished with a hard-anodised coating that is weatherproof and scratch-resistant, built to take a season of field use rather than sit unused in a cabinet. Fitting is straightforward: seat the rail on the dovetail and tighten the six grub screws with the Allen key provided to lock it in place — no gunsmithing skills required.
