This Britannia Rails Picatinny base is machined specifically for the Savage Mk2 and R93 rimfire actions, converting the factory dovetail into a true MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny profile. The rail slides onto the dovetail and is drawn up tight by six grub screws for a firm, even lock, while four further screws secure it into the top of the action — fitted with Vibra-Tite anti-vibration threadlock, which is supplied, to keep everything solid under recoil. Those action screws are 6-48 x .260 and are driven with the T15 hex bit provided, so no extra tools are needed. Once fitted, the rail accepts standard Picatinny and Weaver-compatible rings, red dot sights and thermal or night-vision mounts. It carries a 0 MOA profile, sitting flat rather than adding elevation, which suits general stalking and target use. Machined in Great Britain from T6 aluminium to a 149mm length and finished with a hard-anodised, weatherproof, scratch-resistant coating, it is built for a season of proper field use. Fitting needs no gunsmithing — seat it on the dovetail, tighten the grub screws, then secure the four action screws with the Vibra-Tite threadlock supplied.
