Britannia Rails' picatinny rail is built specifically for the right-handed Tikka 595 and 590 actions, rifles made in Finland and still a firm favourite among UK stalkers and target shooters. The rail bolts straight onto the factory-drilled and tapped holes on top of the receiver using the fixing screws supplied, giving a solid, repeatable base for mounting a scope, night vision or thermal unit via Picatinny/Weaver rings. Machined in the UK from 6061-T6 aluminium and finished with a hard-anodised coating, it is cut to true MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny spec so the mount locks on with no play once torqued down. This is the 0 MOA version, 166mm long, fitted using four 6-48 screws driven with the supplied T15 Hex bit. Britannia Rails also include a dose of Vibra-Tite anti-vibration threadlock in the pack, so the screws stay put under recoil without needing periodic re-torquing. A straightforward, well-made upgrade for anyone wanting to fit modern optics to a Tikka 595 or 590 rifle.
