The Dog & Field Original Clone Rabbit Dummy is a three-piece retrieving dummy built to introduce young and inexperienced gundogs to the sight, scent and feel of a real rabbit before they encounter live game. Two outer sections are made from Dog & Field's durable HD-printed canvas, while the middle section is genuine wild rabbit fur, carrying real rabbit scent and giving the dog an authentic feel in the mouth. Unlike a conventional straight canvas dummy, one section is slightly counter-weighted so the dummy hangs heavier at the head end, just as a real shot rabbit does — training the dog to deal with the unbalanced carry of genuine game rather than the even weight of a standard dummy. Each dummy comes complete with a long-throw rope and a comfortable ball toggle, making it easy to launch for extended retrieves during training sessions. It's available in two sizes: a 250g Small, suited to puppies and younger dogs starting their retrieving work, and a 500g Large for adult dogs progressing towards fur and game. A useful bridge between plain canvas dummies and the real thing.
