The FX Superior Heavy Smooth Twist X (STX) barrel liner is a replacement rifled liner for FX PCP air rifles, manufactured using FX's patented process of pressing the rifling into the barrel from the outside. This 700mm liner is chambered in .30 calibre and carries a 1:22" twist rate, making it well matched to heavier .30 calibre pellets and heavier slugs. The "Heavy" designation does not refer to a thicker barrel wall — per FX, it denotes a different twist rate specifically optimised for heavier pellets and heavier slugs, rather than the lighter-weight FX Hybrid Slugs better served by the standard Superior liner. This variant is sold as a standalone accessory only and is not included in any barrel kit. At 700mm, it is suited to FX Impact, Crown, Wildcat and Dreamline builds where the shooter wants maximum barrel length for heavy-slug performance at distance. FX part number 20234.
