The H&N Slug HP Heavy in .25 calibre (6.35mm / .250") is designed for long-range hunting and target shooting with high-power PCP air rifles. Weighing 46 grains, these are the heaviest slugs in H&N's .25 calibre range, offering outstanding downrange energy retention and a flat trajectory that makes accurate placement practical at extended distances. The defining feature is a large-meplat hollow point machined into soft lead — on impact, the cavity drives rapid, controlled expansion that maximises energy transfer for a quick, humane kill. The dish base aids consistent seating and stable flight from barrel to target. Developed and field-tested with renowned airgun hunting expert Air Hunter Gerhard, the Heavy Slug is optimised for rifles producing at least 25 joules (18.5 ft-lb) of muzzle energy — the kind of output common in regulated, high-power PCPs. Supplied in a tin of 100. H&N is a German manufacturer with a long-established reputation in precision airgun ammunition.
