Hausken build their sound moderators around a barrel nut conversion system: swap the nut and the same moderator body can be fitted to rifles with different muzzle threads, rather than re-threading a barrel or buying a second moderator. This barrel nut is machined with two thread specifications — 5/8"x24 UNEF and 24x1 (M24x1) — converting between the two. Hausken's more common moderator range is built around a fixed 18x1mm moderator-side thread, with 5/8"x24 UNEF appearing as one of several rifle-side options in that system, so a 24x1 nut is a less usual pairing; check with your dealer, or against your moderator's own spec, to confirm which thread mates to your rifle and which to your moderator before ordering. As with any thread adaptor fitted ahead of a sound moderator, correct fitment is safety-critical — have a competent gunsmith confirm the nut seats square and both threads are fully engaged before the moderator goes on.
