The Hausken JAKT JD224 is a Norwegian-built over-barrel sound moderator from Hausken, part of the Beretta Holding group, chambered here for .308 Winchester, .300 Winchester Magnum and 30-06 Springfield. It's a magnum-rated member of Hausken's core JAKT line, built from hard-anodised aluminium and fitted with a 6-chamber baffle stack that delivers up to -31dB of noise reduction, easing recoil and cutting muzzle flash without adding excessive bulk to the rifle. At 50mm in diameter and 224mm long, weighing around 300g, the JD224 extends roughly 140mm beyond the muzzle and covers about 84mm of barrel in its over-barrel sleeve, so balance stays close to that of an unsuppressed rifle. It carries Hausken's own 18x1 internal thread, adapted to the specific rifle via Hausken's barrel nut system, and is intended for barrels of 50cm or longer. As with any over-barrel moderator, avoid strings of more than about five rapid shots to prevent overheating.
