These are Hornady InterLock bullets in .277" diameter (.270 calibre), 140 grain, in the boat-tail spire point (BTSP) profile. They are reloading components for handloaders, not loaded ammunition, so you supply your own cases, primers and powder. The exposed lead tip gives controlled expansion and hard-hitting terminal performance, while the InterLock ring — a raised band inside the jacket that bites into the bullet's core — keeps core and jacket locked together through expansion to retain mass and energy for deep penetration. A tapered jacket meters expansion across the velocity range, and the secant ogive boat-tail profile keeps drag low for flatter trajectories and good downrange accuracy. The cannelure allows a consistent crimp on heavier loads. At 140gr in .277", this is a sensible all-round deer-stalking weight for the .270 Winchester and similar cartridges, giving handloaders a dependable, accurate bullet for working up loads on red, fallow, sika and roe.
