The secant ogive profile gives the bullet a clean, consistent form factor that feeds reliably and shoots accurately at conventional velocities. Hornady matches powder charge to this specific load for consistent pressure and uniform muzzle velocity of 2,820 fps from a 24-inch test barrel, making it fully compatible with semi-automatic rifles.
