The Nordik Mini Predator is a compact, mouth-blown open-reed fox call designed to work with devastating effect under cold, Nordic conditions. Its freeze-proof mouthpiece keeps the call reliable when temperatures drop, making it a practical choice for winter fox control on farmland, forestry edges and open ground. The Mini Predator has a smaller soundboard and thinner membrane than its big brother, the Nordik Predator Pre-Tuned, which means the tone sits slightly lower — but the trade-off is a more natural, animated quality that can be harder for a cautious fox to dismiss. Place the O-ring against your teeth or lips at the outermost part of the membrane and blow in short bursts to produce convincing rodent squeaks. Move the contact point inward for fuller rabbit and hare distress sounds, varying between long and short calls over 15–25 seconds and repeating every three to four minutes. Opening and closing your hand in front of the call's bell as you blow adds further movement to the sound. Effective up to 1,500 metres, the Mini Predator makes a capable standalone call and a reliable back-up to the full-size Nordik Predator.
