The Pixfra Volans V850 is a digital day & night riflescope for stalking, foxing and pest control, sharing the same optical core as the rangefinder-equipped Volans V850 LRF but without the built-in laser rangefinder. A 3840×2160 4K CMOS sensor sits behind a 50mm objective lens with a switchable f1.2–f3.0 aperture, giving full-colour daylight images and four viewing modes (colour, night, green, yellow) once the light drops, at a 4.9x base magnification with a 4.4° field of view and a 5m minimum focus distance for close-range work. The image is shown on a circular 1.25", 800×800px display with 70mm eye relief, designed to feel like looking through a traditional riflescope rather than a screen bolted to a rifle. It records video with audio and stills to 64GB of onboard storage, with an on-board gallery for reviewing footage in the field without a phone or computer, and pairs with the free Pixfra app for quick zeroing. A full-metal bodyshell rated to withstand 6000 joules of shock and an IP67 rating for dust and water keep it working in a typical UK stalking environment, and it runs from a removable, rechargeable lithium battery charged via USB-C. At 997g it is a little lighter than the LRF version.
