The Pulsar 3x20 B monocular turns a Krypton or Proton thermal front attachment into a handheld thermal monocular at 3x magnification. It joins to the attachment through a bayonet connector, which locks positively and can be swapped between devices by hand without tools, so a unit bought to sit in front of a day scope also does scanning duty on foot. For anyone already running a Krypton or Proton this is the cheapest way to add a handheld spotter, since the expensive part of the system is the attachment you already own.
