The Pulsar 940 is an infrared illuminator that extends the working range of night vision units after dark, making it a useful aid for nocturnal fox control and quarry observation. It runs at a wavelength of 940nm, which keeps the beam covert: invisible to the unaided eye and, over any meaningful distance, visible only through digital night vision. The focusable lens lets you adjust the beam from a tight spot to a broad flood, while the infrared output can be smoothly varied between 30 and 200mW to suit the range and the device in use. A lockable angle adjustment holds the beam where you set it. The unit ships with a Weaver mount and a Weaver to ¼in Whitworth screw adaptor, so it fits the Weaver rail or the tripod socket on a night vision unit, and it suits Gen 2, Gen 3 and digital devices alike. The 24mm lens gives a beam divergence of 5.7 to 10 degrees, and power comes from two AA batteries. A carrying case is included.
