The Pulsar Axion 2 XG35 is a pocket-sized handheld thermal imaging monocular built for spotting and locating quarry in complete darkness, fog or dense cover. At its heart is a 640x480 microbolometer with a 12 micron pixel pitch and NETD below 40 mK, paired with a fast F35/1.0 germanium objective lens that draws in plenty of infrared signal for a clean, well-detailed picture. The image is shown on a high-contrast 1024x768 AMOLED display, with 2.5-20x magnification and up to 8x digital zoom to pull out detail at range, and heat signatures can be detected at distances of up to 1750 metres. Eight colour palettes let you adapt the view to changing conditions, while the reinforced magnesium alloy body keeps weight down to around 380 grams and carries an IPX7 waterproof rating. A built-in photo and video recorder with 16 GB of memory captures the action, and built-in Wi-Fi links the unit to Android and iOS phones through the Stream Vision 2 app. Power comes from a removable APS5 Li-ion battery pack charged over USB-C.
