This is the 56mm version of Pulsar's FN cover ring adaptor, the clamp that fixes a Forward F455 or FN455 digital night-vision front attachment to the objective end of your day scope. It is sized for riflescopes with a 56mm objective lens and comes with a set of insert rings covering external bell diameters of 60, 61, 62, 63, 64 and 65mm, so you can match it precisely to your scope's housing. Fit it once and it stays put: the adaptor remains on the scope as a permanent fixture, holding a protective lens cover in place for everyday daylight shooting. When the light goes, the cover comes off and the Forward attachment locks into the four-point bayonet fitting in seconds, with no tools needed. Because the attachment sits ahead of your day optic rather than replacing it, your zero is untouched. For deer stalkers and foxers running a 56mm objective scope, it is the neatest way to switch one rifle between daylight work and night vision. Pulsar also makes 42mm and 50mm versions for smaller objectives.

Adaptor info

I received pulsar 455 and adaptor as expected however the adaptor had to be returned because it was too large. I discovered the error after reading the instruction booklet that came with the pulsar. It would be helpful if the adaptor size info was included in your website as a useful guide before purchase. Because I'm waiting for the correct adaptor I can't comment on the performance of the pulsar but out of the box it looks good and up to pulsars usual high standard.
