The Pulsar Ultra-X940 is a 940 nm infrared illuminator designed as a matched accessory for the Digisight Ultra N400-series digital night-vision riflescopes and Forward F400-series front attachments. Operating in the invisible waveband — undetectable to the naked eye — it lets you illuminate a scene without alerting quarry, making it well suited to fox lamping, rabbit shooting and deer stalking after dark. The LED emitter is eye-safe, avoiding the retinal risks associated with laser-diode alternatives. Power comes directly from the host NV device via a bayonet socket connector, so there are no separate batteries to manage in the field. Three power settings let you balance illumination intensity against range and battery draw, while the adjustable optical head lets you shift the IR spot to wherever it is most useful within the scope's field of view — from tight spot to broad flood. The unit is rated IPX7 for submersion resistance and operates down to -25°C, so it will handle a hard Scottish winter without complaint. Weighing just 130 g with dimensions of 103 x 38 x 53 mm, it adds minimal bulk to the host device.
