The Pulsar Ultra-X940S is an attachable, interchangeable infrared illuminator designed to work with compatible Pulsar digital night vision devices — specifically the Digisight Ultra N450/N455, Digisight Ultra N450/N455 LRF, Forward F455 and Forward FN455. Operating at 940 nm, its output is completely invisible to the naked eye, making it the right choice for covert observation during deer stalking or lamping where you don't want to alert quarry. Output runs up to 700 mW via a three-step power button on the illuminator itself, letting you dial in the right level of illumination for the conditions without going into the scope's menu. The rotating lens with lockable collar allows precise horizontal and vertical positioning of the IR spot within the field of view — useful when zeroing in low light. The illuminator draws power directly from the host device, so there's no separate battery to manage. Construction is metal and plastic, rated IPX7 for waterproofing and proven to handle recoil up to 6,000 J on rifled arms. At 142 g it adds little to the rifle's profile.
