Designed for hunting at long range, the boat tail profile reduces drag, improving retained velocity, downrange energy and resistance to wind deflection compared to a flat-base design. With a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.250 and a sectional density of 0.157, this bullet performs at its best in cartridges of moderate to large powder capacity — the 22-250 Remington, 220 Swift and similar high-velocity rounds bring out the longest-range capability. The .224" diameter bullet is manufactured to Sierra's exacting tolerances without a cannelure or bullet coating, keeping the lead-core construction consistent from lot to lot.
