Sitka's Core Merino 120 LS Crew is the lightest baselayer in the Core range, built for early-season stalking when the priority is scent control and freedom of movement rather than warmth. It's cut from a 120-gram, 17.5-micron ArmorSpun merino wool blend that regulates temperature through changing conditions and activity levels, while merino's natural odour resistance helps suppress scent on the approach. Snag-preventative stitching along the sleeves shrugs off abrasion from a rucksack, and low-profile integrated thumb holes keep the cuffs anchored under a shooting jacket or smock without bunching. Despite the technical build it's easy-care, going through the wash and dryer with the rest of your laundry, and weighs just 6.1oz thanks to the ultralight wool. This version comes in Sitka's Optifade Subalpine pattern, developed for stalking and ambushing deer and other ungulates from ground level in tree-covered, vegetated terrain, and optimised for close engagement ranges of around 50 yards or less — ideal for woodland and treeline stalking. A long-sleeve crew top, worn alone in mild weather or as the first layer of a system.
