The Spartan Light Optics Adapter attaches quickly to an Ascent or Sentinel tripod, or a Davros head, turning it into a stable platform for lightweight cameras, spotting scopes, binoculars or any other device fitted with a 1/4-20in thread. It's crafted from aerospace-grade aluminium with a 410 stainless steel flat-headed 1/4-20in thread bolt, giving corrosion resistance and durability in a package that weighs just 5g. Unlike the Heavy Duty Optics Adapter, this version only works with the MagnaSwitch magnetic attachment system, not Disc-Lok, so instant fitting comes from the magnetic spigot alone rather than an adjustable lever. It's compatible with Davros heads, Sentinel and Ascent tripods, and is the lighter of Spartan's two optics adapters — the one to reach for when weight matters more than the extra security of the Heavy Duty version.
