The Sportsmatch T078 is a two-piece, two-screw scope mount built for 30mm scope tubes on Weaver/Picatinny rails, sized to the medium height most stalking and target rifles use. Like the rest of the Sportsmatch range, it's CNC-machined in Great Britain from aircraft-grade aluminium alloy, holding tolerances tight enough that a scope zeroed on the bench stays zeroed after the rifle has been carried, dropped in a slip and knocked about on a hill. A square-section, high-tensile steel cross bolt on the base locates positively in the rail's cut-outs, so the mount can't creep back under recoil the way a simple clamp-on ring can. The top caps are secured with Allen-head bolts and the rail clamp with a thumb nut, so no specialist tools are needed to fit or remove it. Suits objectives up to 50mm on most rifles, so a wide range of hunting and stalking scopes will clear the barrel and action.
