This is the Tipton cleaning pellet jag sized for .22 to .264 calibre rifles, a bore-cleaning tool rather than any kind of ammunition. It is the calibre-correct jag that holds a Tipton compressed-felt cleaning pellet so you can push it through the bore on a standard cleaning rod. The felt pellet sits on the jag and conforms to the lands and grooves, carrying solvent through the barrel and lifting out fouling, lead and powder residue more evenly than a loose patch. Built from nickel-plated brass, the jag resists the cleaning chemicals it lives among and will not score the bore. It threads onto a cleaning rod and fits or removes in seconds, so you can swap between brushes, patch jags and pellet jags as a session demands.
