The phosphor-bronze bristles are softer than barrel steel yet aggressive enough to scour out carbon, powder fouling and copper without harming the rifling, making this a sensible choice for keeping a stalking or target rifle shooting accurately. Each brush is built around a single piece of looped wire that runs through the threaded brass coupler, so the core will not separate and leave bristles stranded in the bore.
