This is a three-pack of Tipton bronze bore brushes sized for .44 calibre rifle barrels, the kind of consumable you work through steadily over a season of range work and stalking. The bronze bristles bite into carbon and powder fouling more aggressively than nylon, lifting the build-up that solvent alone leaves behind, while the calibre-specific sizing keeps the brush snug to the lands for a thorough, even scrub down the full length of the barrel. Because the bristles are sized to the bore, they clear the fouling without scoring the rifling on the way through. The brush threads onto a standard cleaning rod, so it drops straight onto whatever setup you already use. Bronze brushes are a wear item by nature, which is why Tipton supplies them three to a pack: rotate to a fresh brush once the bristles soften and you keep getting a proper clean rather than a tired skim.
