This three-pack of Tipton bronze bore brushes is sized specifically for 20 bore shotgun barrels, so the bristles meet the bore wall in full contact rather than skating over the fouling. The bristles are bronze, far softer than barrel steel yet stiff enough to shift lead deposits and powder residue after a day at the clays or an afternoon on the pigeons. Each brush is built around a single piece of brass wire that runs right through the threaded brass coupler, so the head cannot pull apart and leave bristles stranded halfway down the barrel. The standard 5/16in-27 thread screws onto most shotgun cleaning rods, and Tipton recommends using these brushes with a quality one-piece rod for best results. With three brushes in the pack, you can retire a worn one without hesitation and keep your gun cleaning kit stocked through the season.
