The Tipton Solid Brass Slotted Tip in .30-35 calibre is a caliber-specific cleaning rod attachment for flooding the bore with solvent or wiping it through with oil or a preservative. A patch is folded into the slot at the tip and pulled down the bore, giving thorough, even coverage the full length of the barrel. Made from solid brass rather than the synthetic plastic used on cheaper tips, it is softer than barrel steel, so there is no risk of scratching or otherwise damaging the bore, and it holds up to far more use than a plastic equivalent before it needs replacing.
