The Tipton Ultra Jag is a nickel-plated brass cleaning jag sized for .25 and 6.5mm calibre rifles, designed to fix a common false-reading problem when using modern bore solvents. Standard push-type jags are usually plain brass, and aggressive copper solvents react with that brass to produce a blue stain on the patch even when the bore is clean of copper fouling — leaving you scrubbing for far longer than necessary. Tipton's Ultra Jag covers the jag surface with a solvent-proof coating, so any blue you see on the patch is genuinely copper fouling and not a false reaction from the jag itself. It is cut with a standard thread to fit any cleaning rod that takes interchangeable jags, and its slotted grooves hold solvent against the bore for better contact while gripping the patch securely so it does not slip during the stroke.
