Tom's Targets' 75mm Gong steps up from their smallest plate to give a touch more forgiveness while still demanding a careful shot. Cut from 10mm-thick Hardox 500 — SSAB's abrasion-resistant steel with a nominal 500 HBW Brinell hardness and guaranteed impact toughness — it's built to take repeated centrefire hits without the cratering or spalling that ordinary mild steel suffers. At around 3 inches across it suits shooters working on precision at longer ranges, whether that's practising for a follow-up shot on the hill or simply building consistency before a day out. The edge is laser-cut for a clean finish, and the plate is designed to hang from Tom's Targets' own Poles and Chains, Pro Stand or A-frame system (sold separately), so it slots straight into a wider range set-up. It's supplied in its natural steel finish, ready to paint in a colour that shows up clearly downrange. Tom's Targets, based in the Midlands, use only certified Hardox 500 plate and rate their gongs for all firearms except .50 calibre and above — as always, keep to a safe minimum engagement distance and wear eye protection.
