VFG's Firearm Pocket Set for .22 calibre is a compact pull-through bore cleaning kit, built to be gentle enough for delicate, high-precision match rifles while still shifting fouling effectively. The set is based around a plastic-covered flexible steel wire that doubles as a cleaning rod, fitted with an adaptor for VFG's felt cleaning pellets and a grip disc to give you a solid pull. In use, you simply push the wire through the bore from the breech, fit a felt onto the adaptor at the muzzle end, then draw it back through using the grip disc — repeating a few times shifts light fouling, and the same method works for oiling and de-oiling the barrel. The wire itself twists through roughly two and a half revolutions along its length, so it tracks the rifling rather than sitting straight down the bore. The whole set packs down into a small case, making it an easy addition to a range bag or stalking rucksack for a quick clean between outings. VFG felts for .22 calibre are sold separately and are worth keeping a box of alongside this set.
