The Vortex Crossfire HD 3-9x40 Muzzleloader carries a Muzzleloader BDC reticle, calibrated specifically for the slower, steeper trajectory of a modern in-line muzzleloader rather than a centrefire cartridge, so the holdover marks give an accurate aiming point at extended range without guesswork. It shares the same HD optical system as the rest of the Crossfire HD line — select glass elements and fully multi-coated lenses deliver sharp resolution, reduced chromatic aberration and strong light transmission, useful on the low-light mornings and evenings muzzleloader hunting often falls on. The one-inch aircraft-grade aluminium tube carries capped 1/4 MOA turrets with 15 MOA of travel per rotation and 72 MOA of total elevation and windage adjustment, and a fast-focus eyepiece lets you dial the second focal plane reticle in quickly. Fully sealed and nitrogen-purged, it's waterproof, fogproof and shockproof, built to hold zero under a muzzleloader's heavy recoil. Set the 100-yard parallax, and the low-glare matte black anodised finish keeps the scope from giving away your position.
