The Vortex Diamondback HD 2000 is a handheld laser rangefinder built for hunters who need reliable range at real hunting distances without the price of Vortex's flagship models. Its HD optical system delivers 7x magnification through a 24mm objective, giving a bright, sharp view for picking out game and ranging up to 2,000 yards on reflective targets and 1,400 yards on deer-sized game. Two target modes (Normal and Last) and two ranging modes (HCD and LOS) cover the shots a stalker actually takes, from a level field crossing to an angled hillside, and the unit is tripod-adaptable for longer glassing sessions. A red OLED display stays legible in poor light, and the body is waterproof and shockproof to handle a working day in the field. Compact at 7.6oz with the battery fitted, it runs on a single CR2 battery rated for over 2,000 range measurements, and comes complete with a soft carry case, wrist and bungee lanyards, a lens cloth, a utility clip and a hook-and-loop harness attachment for mounting straight onto a binocular harness or pack.
