The Vortex Raptor 10x32 is a mid-size porro prism binocular built for straightforward, affordable glassing rather than specialist low-light work. Porro prism construction — the classic offset-barrel shape, with the objective lenses set wider than the eyepieces — gives a wide, three-dimensional field of view and a bright image for the price, with fully multi-coated lenses on every air-to-glass surface. At 10x magnification and a 32mm objective it delivers a 6.3° angular field of view (339ft at 1000 yards) and a 3.2mm exit pupil, so it's best suited to daylight wildlife-watching, walking and general country use rather than dusk stalking. Eye relief is 13mm and the wide 50-70mm interpupillary range means it fits most users, including younger or smaller-handed family members. The body is rubber-armoured, nitrogen-purged and waterproof, fogproof and shockproof, backed by Vortex's unlimited lifetime VIP warranty. Close focus is 15ft, so it's less suited to close-range birdwatching. Supplied with a rainguard eyepiece cover, tethered objective lens covers, neck strap, carry case and lens cloth.
