This Vortex Tactical 30mm ring is supplied as a single unit, so order two for a complete matching pair. Machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium, it uses a robust six-screw clamp design to mount 30mm-tube optics — red dot sights, magnifiers and other accessories — directly to a Picatinny rail. This is the Extra-High Lower 1/3 height, setting the optic's centreline at 1.57in (40.0mm) above the rail, the tallest option in the Tactical range and useful where a magnifier or bulky optic needs extra clearance over iron sights or a raised stock comb. The ring measures 2.4-2.6in (62-66mm) outside diameter and weighs 6.7oz. If it's used to mount a conventional riflescope rather than a red dot or magnifier, Vortex recommend lapping the rings first for a proper, secure and mark-free fit. Simple, solidly built and a straightforward way to add or raise an optic on any Picatinny-equipped rifle or carbine.
