The Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 is a second focal plane tactical riflescope built for shooters who want a clean, uncluttered sight picture at typical working magnifications along with reliable long-range performance when it's needed, from close-quarters work through to extended shots on the hill. The glass-etched EBR-4 reticle sits in the second focal plane, so its MOA-based subtension lines and floating wind hold dots are calibrated to a single magnification setting — the reticle itself stays a constant size through the zoom range, and hold points are only exact at that calibrated power, appearing smaller relative to the target at lower magnifications. Tactical turrets give 1/4 MOA clicks, 35 MOA of windage and 70 MOA of elevation travel, with 25 MOA per full turn. The illumination dial is built into the side focus/parallax knob, offering 10 brightness levels with off positions between each for quick daylight-to-dusk changes. XR fully multi-coated XD lens elements keep the image bright and colour-true, while ArmorTek coating on the exterior lenses resists scratches, oil and dirt, and the shockproof, aircraft-grade aluminium tube shrugs off recoil. A 30mm tube, 3.4in eye relief and parallax adjustment from 25 yards to infinity complete the package.
