The Zeiss DTC-A 56 is a dedicated mounting adapter that allows the Zeiss DTC 3 thermal clip-on to be fitted precisely to a riflescope with a 56 mm objective lens. The adapter consists of two components: the DTC-A adapter piece, sized for 56 mm objective lenses, and the standard DTC ring (DTC-R M52), which together create a secure bayonet-lock connection between the DTC 3 and the host scope. The bayonet mechanism ensures the thermal attachment seats firmly without introducing shot deviation, and the repeatable lock-and-release action means the DTC 3 can be switched between rifles quickly without loss of zero confidence. Designed and manufactured by Zeiss specifically for the DTC 3 system, the adapter is compatible with current Zeiss riflescopes fitted with a 56 mm objective — including the Victory V8 and Conquest V6 in 56 mm configurations. Users fitting the adapter to third-party scopes should verify the outer objective diameter and consult the scope manufacturer's warranty terms before ordering.
