The Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series Case Trim and Prep Centre, supplied here in 220V UK specification, trims shouldered brass accurately in seconds. An adjustable collet and bushing system indexes each case on its shoulder, so once set it repeatably trims to the exact case length you want. Insert a case, the collet aligns it squarely with the high-speed cutter, and trimming stops automatically as the shoulder meets the internal bushing. Three collets and a set of bushings are included, covering shouldered cases from .17 Remington up to .460 Weatherby; it isn't suitable for straight-walled cases. Alongside the cutter, up to three further tools can be run from the same unit, and an inside chamfer tool, outside deburring tool, and large and small primer pocket cleaners are all included to fully prep brass for reloading. The heavy-duty motor and aluminium-and-steel construction are built for sustained use, the hardened HSS cutters stay sharp over thousands of rounds, and a built-in storage box keeps spare collets, bushings and tools organised at the bench.
