The chequered textile upper is the first thing you notice on the Fleet & Foster Mitchell, and in grey it's a genuinely neutral option - as much at home with plain pyjamas as with a patterned dressing gown. It's a traditional men's slip-on slipper, so there's no lace or fastening to deal with: twin elastic gussets at the sides stretch to let the foot in, then hold everything snug once it's on. Comfort continues on the inside with a soft textile lining, and underneath sits a lightweight, flexible PVC sole that flexes with the foot and cushions each step without adding bulk.
