The Hawke 36mm objective sunshade is a threaded metal tube that fits the objective bell of compatible Hawke riflescopes, reducing glare and cutting internal reflections in bright conditions. When the sun is ahead — whether during a morning stalk in open woodland or across a field on a driven day — light entering the objective at an angle can cause internal scatter and degrade the sight picture. A sunshade corrects this without any adjustment to the scope and can be fitted or removed in seconds. Measuring 2 inches (50mm) in length, the shade is compact enough to keep the overall rig neat for woodland or close-country use. Threaded at both ends, two or more shades can be stacked together to build a longer hood when more shade is needed, or a flip-up lens cover can be installed on the front thread to protect the objective glass when moving through cover. Compatible with Hawke's 2015 collection onwards.
