Nikwax Techwash is a specialist wash-in cleaner for waterproof clothing and outdoor equipment, formulated to safely revitalise both breathability and water repellency. Unlike conventional detergents and washing powders, Techwash is soap-based and leaves no water-attracting residues behind — residues that cause fabrics to wet out and lose performance. It actively lifts out dirt and grime that can mask Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coatings, while also stripping away detergent residues from previous washes. Techwash is suitable for use on all fabrics including technical textiles such as Gore-Tex, and is simple to apply in a standard washing machine. The 300ml canister provides multiple washes and is water-based, making it biodegradable, non-flammable and non-hazardous. It contains no fluorocarbons. Regular use prolongs the life of expensive waterproof gear and keeps breathable membranes working as intended — an essential part of any serious sportsman's kit maintenance routine.
